CCW Ladies there is a sign-up sheet in the entrance of the church, for the Ladies  to sign-up for the different Committees and activities for the 2014 year. Please sign up by Jan. 31.

CCW  $10 Dues are to be paid to Anne Moats or placed in the Collection basket. They are do now.

The CCW Soup Luncheon will take place on Sunday Feb. 16 after Mass at the Ed Center from 11am to 1pm.

Donations are always needed at the Food Pantry.  Suggestions for January are pasta  products,  sauce, canned foods. (Elm Creek)  Suggested for Overton are rice, canned or dried beans and Hispanic foods.  Please note that these are only suggestions.  Donate as you like.  Elm Creek donations go to the pantry in Elm Creek.  The Overton donations are taken to the Lexington pantry.  If you are in need of something from the Food Pantry, call Juanita at 856-4724 (Elm Creek).  If there is no answer, please leave a number and she will return your call.

 Readers Workbooks for the New Year are available in the sacristy.  If you are a lector,please pick up your book.

Calendars for 2014 from the Mortuaries are available, as well as the collection boxes for the new year.  Please pick up both.  If you don’t find a box with your name on it, please call the office or let Father know.

One Rose One life cards and envelops will be handed out after each mass. Please bring the envelops back next week to be collected.

The Knights will meet on Jan 21 in Overton following the completion of the soup supper.

The Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a soup supper at the Overton High School Gym on January 21st  beginning at 4:30pm.  Members are asked to provide desserts (cakes, cookies, brownies, pies).  Elm Creek Members- -if you can’t deliver them to Overton, please leave at the Education Center before 3pm on the 21st.  Brian will take them to Overton, Amherst Knights, please check with Dave Glatter for delivery.  Overton Knights, please contact Terry Cook.

The Knights of Columbus Hoop Shoot is scheduled for January 25th at the Elm Creek High School gym.  The gym will open at noon for registration and practice.

If anyone is interested in learning more about their faith or in joining the Church, please contact Father José for the beginning of RCIA classes. We will be beginning the Classes at the end of this Month.

The Nebraska Walk For Life will be held on Saturday, Jan. 25 on the north side of the State Capitol, 14th & K St., Lincoln.  The program starts at 10 a.m. ends at 1 p.m.
